Located at Clifton Road and High Road. Phase 1 included the new electrical room and relocating all electrical equipment above grade. This included a 2000A 600V service entrance switchgear, automatic transfer switch, motor control centre, active harmonic filter and variable frequency drives for the pumps and power connection to the existing padmount transformer. A critical component of the Phase 1 construction was to keep the pump station operational during the upgrades.
The building was to be located on a sloped site in a single-family neighborhood. The sloped roof creates a sense of movement; reflecting this busy street intersection and its hillside location. The exterior is clad in a mix of Swiss Pearl cement panel and corrugated steel panels.
